Hope in Allah SWT

Hope and trust in Allah SWT mercy are the strongest motivations for us to progress in our Deen and Donia..My story with hope started when I was doing my residency in Urology...at that time I was living my biggest frustration and depression for years ...simply because there was no goals to dream about ...every thing was dark without any light at the end of the road...Although Alhamdulilah I had a great faith in Allah that this situation will be resolved one day...but didn't see any thing real in life....I realize that in my country there was no hope...unfortunately hope has disappeared from most if not all couturiers in middle east...you just digest your depression every day...My only enjoyment was reading some book that strengthen your faith and make a lot o Duaa to Allah SWT to change this situation....believe me in my youth age people did not know any thing about hope...A blow of hope came from Allah SWT and slowly I started putting some small steps... projects and tryed to find a way to come to the west to continue my specializing...I t was a big unrealistic dream...but this was the only dream I have...I remember those days i was literally dreaming about leaving the country to find a place ...with the help of some of my professors...finally it happen and I was offered a one month clinical rotation in US..one month only ...then I have to find something else or go back to my country...I took the challenge ...and with 2000 $ from my father and a lot of Duaa from both parents I came on June 9 2002 to US to start my trip in this country...after that first month I could find a small job in research center with a reasonable salary...I flaw back to my country to get married...a dream that I have been waiting for a long time...since then Alhamdulilah...my steps were all successful... I get training spots and jobs in the best training center...Here In US I learned that...there is something called change and it is doable if you know how to do it and I am trying now to help my brothers and sisters ..my drams are getting bigger and bigger and now we have a dream now to establish the Muslim physicians network that we can help our brothers and sisters as a way of thanking Allah SWt for what he has blessed us .although it is a big dream...but I ask Allah SWT to make it happen and shower his mercy upon us.My advice don't give up hope...make a lot of Duaa specially at the time of frustration and depression and find a piratical steps to reach your goals...May Allah SWT help us all to bring our dreams into reality..

Finding common ground with people in the West

Alsalm Alikom,I brought this topic because I think it is very important to those who live in the western countries; I found this as a real challenge sometimes specially to those how spend their early life in the Muslim countries then they moved to western countries latter on. Western people has a totally different social life and interests. They spend a lot of time talking about MUSIC, SPORT (local teams, American football....something we do not know any thing about ) , ALL ASPECT OF FUN IN LIFE.......For me it was a real challenge to get socialise with them and I still find it hard. I start educating my self about some of their interest (of course the halal ones) like local sport teams, social attitude.....For only one reason which is to find a small common ground to get socialize with them and to get them latter on to my personal world of interests.... this strategy need to be developed and it takes some time. We should study their interests in FUN, SOCIAL Activities' Politics. Think about a HALAL common back ground and then work with them to extend that common ground.I think this topic need more work but this is what I have now, hope every body post his experience...
As individuals, people in the west have a diverse group of ideas, behaviors..... Many of them are not accepted by Islam, However other are many either halal or recommended ideas or behaves. Now for every person here, friend, and coworker.... you have to now his ideas and way of life, think about halal common ground, elaborate on it.... get some SYMPATHY with him....try to explain your ideas and way of life. Even if he was not convinced with your ideas... that is fine work only on the common ground and they usually respect your way of life even if they did not accept it.
As a society, her there are some social attitudes and trends, and again some of them are accepted by Islam and some are not, Muslims should be involved in the ones that are acceptable to them. LOOK in the face book groups, you will find many about Darfur, poverty in Africa....with thousands of westerns actively involved in it. WHY DO NOT WE GET INVOLVED WITH THEM, and show them that we also do care about poor people in Africa.... MAY BE THIS WILL DRAW THEIR ATTENTION TO CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE IN GAZA. SINCE IT IS THE SAME PROBLEM. We should look for those active members in such groups and make them our friends, those are the people how will shape the future, we should bring them to our side and not let the others bring them to their side.

Building good relationship with your kids

I have been thinking for a long time about the best way to protect our kids from the bad things in our society, I found the most important thing is the good relation with your kids. You should start as early as possible to build this relation based on love and logic. our kids should be our best friends always.
All of us know the Hadeeth of the prophet Mohammad (PBUH) when a man asked him: who should be my best friend , the prophet answers him your mother....then your father. If you take it from the other side then your son, daughter should be your best friend.
In the early age of life this relation should be build mainly on love and forgiveness of the child mistakes and slowly we should build his logic and behavior.The stronger this relation the more attached your son or daughter will be to you. Our kids are the best investment for the future.
Your children is like plants the more you take care of them the more fruits you will get.

Reviving the Islamic Spirit( RIS )

In the last few days I attend the RIS conference held here in Toronto. I estimate the attendance of more than 10,000 people. I was amazed by the huge number of people how came from every where and no body was expecting this number; showing that the Muslim community has great resources and potentials.
I was thinking about the importance of these meetings and the benefit they can give to the Muslim community and what I personally think would be the next step for a real revival of the Islamic spirit. I asked my self what is next after holding conferences and giving talks, we need to act. We need to move from talking to acting, we need to form small working units in ever city town putting goals for butter education more contribution in the political and economical life. It is very good to get reminded about our Islamic believes and traditions but we need also new knowledge.
Also it is very important to unify the community, and be transparent with every body. We should be clear on our goals and plans, explain them to the others, and work with them together on putting goals and making plans to achieve them. We lack the spirit of collective work between us and with the non Muslims.
I think we can not emphasize more the importance of good intentions in all what we do because this the real guarantee for success.

Importance Of Time

Alhamdulilah yesterday we attend a lecture by Sh Tamer in Toronto Downtown Masjed. It was about the importance of time in Muslim life. He gave examples of how years, months, weeks,,,, and even milliseconds are very important and can some times change your whole life. He also gave examples of our beloved Salaf and how they could accomplish great goals in few years. Every body remembers Alemam Alshaf'ee, Alnawawi.....those people lived for a short period of time but still they made a huge contribution to the islamic civilization.
As a result we should ask ourselves what did we accomplish in this life.Will Allah SWT be pleased with us for what we have done.
Did we plan our lives in a good manner.
Millions of people are dying every day with very small accomplishment in this life if any.We sit every day for hours serving the net and may be getting useful information, however are using this information to build something or it is knowledge for the seek of knowledge. this is very important. Each second in our life should be usable to get, analyze produce information. nothing should go without achieving a goal. We should keep working in our goals diagram make new branches, sitting new goals, putting time frame to them, otherwise our life will pass day by day and second by second with getting any thing out of them.

Solidate your Intentions

I am writing these words because I have been thinking about them for a while.All of us know the importance of good intention in our deeds, however many of us does not realize the deep meaning of that.Did you ask your self why I am doing this or that ???? May be yes OK.Why means long term goals and short term goals THE SERIES OF GOALS.-What are your long term goals in life???? To please Allah..... OK-then how do you translate this onto your daily life ???????-Prayers,,, fasting, good morals with parents friends.....!!!!!!How about your goals in life? What are the big rocks in you pan ( this is an example: man like a pan, you put big stones" big goals" and small stones "short term goals". make sure you put the big stones first, because if you put the small ones first, you won’t be able the big ones next.Now did you plan your life knowing that every thing is in the hand of ALLAH.May be???? Let us say Yes!!!! Then , You need to SOLIDATE YOUR INTENTIONS.Satan will try day and night to make you forget why you are doing this??? some goals might take years to achieve,,,going to college is an example Why did you spend 10 years of your life studying. You will be asked this question in front of ALLAH???. What is the answer?????.You need to remind your self every day with this series of intentions Please Allah... to spread the word of Allah... good person... good education... going to school every day. Vice versa... Good education ...good person...DAWA for ALLAH. Satan will come every day trying to change/break you series of intentions !!!!!! Make your work for money, fame.... please x person... endless tricks!!!!!!!!! Be careful It is the battle of intentions you need to know to win it if you loss this battle with him toy lose every thing... years of work will be worthless in the eye of ALLAH.We need to know the science of intentions!!! I remember reading in a book of MOLANA MULA ALI ALQARI in a chapter of good intention, he wrote a sentence that really touched me" and that kind of knowledge has been lost long time ago"I ask Allah subhanhu W ta'ala to give me and you the benefit of these words.
